ITV1 is in discussion at present over the future of Crossroads (Carlton) and Night & Day (Granada/LWT) and the axe looks likely to fall! So the question is what will cash-strapped ITV going to replace them with?

Oh, another Carlton and Granada failure.
These two companies are like the Grim Reaper!

LOL! Indeed it does seem the greedy are now getting their just desserts!

Being a kid, I would hope for more CITV but I reckon ITV will treat us to more,
'Planet's Funniest Animals' from the £1 shop.
Regional programmes annoy me so much because I always want to watch something from a different region and I only get Granada and HTV.

seeing that timegate (the new knightmare) is scheduled to start on channel 4 this summer i would like to see the vacant slot used for quizshows.
the people versus and some other quiz would be ideal in that slot and would be a refreshing change for people who like something other than soaps to watch at that time.

They need to extend CITV to 5:10, put a quiz show or something on at 5:15 and move the ITV National News back to 5:40!

I think it really is a 'quiz' type kinda time of the day really. I hear that YorkshireTyne Tees is producing a new nostalgia quiz with Matthew Kelly, maybe that may be brought in? A decent quiz, a decent host and a chance to win money at home, rating winner methinks!

they did. don't know if they still do though.
wasn't keen on liza tarbuck hosting it.
bob holness was THE best host of blockbusters.
they need to return to the original format. none of this hi-tech computer stuff (except for the gameboard).

Bob was cool. He's even cooler on Call My Buff on BBC1!
I notice that it's neck and neck between quizzes and local programming... what kind of local programming would you like to see? I know for a fact that HTV West is a little dire at the producing the local stuff. They did have a decent Friday night show back in the late 80's though which was really cool. Maybe a early evening version?
