I spotted something like this last weekend during the daytime. Using the wall break bumper and original times Laughing

I couldn't get a cap of it as I was too slow, but make what you will of it's significance...

Yes, this was spotted in the old ITV1 presentation thread a couple of weeks back. The ones I've saw being used are the one above, and the Beach one.

Yes! When that book comes on (after 13 seconds) I thought it was going to morph into a cake Laughing

You mean you missed the redbee media marketing blurb ?

The theme is 'Alive with colour' with the ITV1 yellow being used in 'visually arresting' ways, ie. the humming birds on market, the fish on lake, the petals on basketball and the pavement art in erm pavement art.

Yes, I missed that. I assumed that they just kind of snuck on air hoping that no-one noticed.

They're hardly alive with colour... unless the colours concerned are yellow and grey. The settings are mostly dull, dark (and foreign)

Even 7's menu and bumpers in 2004/5 looked nice as well:

ITV1 could take on TV3's idea of the idents being promos at the same time as being idents.

I agree there, the january 06 lot were much brighter, and happier generally, they did actually looking back did the channel a bright exterior.

I do love the 7 work, and the TV3 is interesting, mostly taking clips of the shows, but it could work well for ITV1 whose main objective is to keep viewers watching of course. I wouldn't say that they should all be based on these, an idea like this should be used in prime time, and animation be based on idents which have some theme, I've even tried thinking of one, and for some reason I just can't think of anything that is either not copying or a great idea.
