Which ITV Regions, promo their regional programmes as being '...On ITV1'.

Thats something the GMG North regions don't do, so there is some regionality left there!

EDIT: Cockup on UTV after the Late ITV News, The GMTV trailer was let through, (UTV usually don't show the GMTV trailer), UTV then cut to black half way through it!

Hi all,I'm in BIRMINGHAM at the moment where I've stored the Sky Digital and have chosen to watch Meridian at 6-I really can't wait! http://web.ukonline.co.uk/tv.home/forum/emoticons/biggrin.gif

It looks like ITV Sport Channel is testing on 3-6 (William Road Testcard at present)

I reckon ITV Sport WILL end up on 3-6, but it looks like tonight's activity is aspect ratio switching tests for ITV1 and 2.

They were showing a 14:9 picture from LWT stretched out to 16:9 at just before 7 o'clock.

That videowall's BIG enough, without stretching it! Wink

Just watching the junction from LWT's crime programme, through the ads and into ITN on Astra 3-6 and it looks as if they've sorted out the aspect ratio switching at last.

It looks a bit silly at present because they're using the 14:9 feed to simulate 16:9, but the switching between wide mode and 4:3 mode looks okay.

They've been working all through the weekend on it I gather. Let's hope for go-live on all the channels tomorrow.

Carlton London is currently in widescreen but it hasn't been rolled out across the network AFAIK yet. There appears to be a slight sound problem every few seconds for a split second.

I am watching Carlton London and the 16:9 switching is working brilliantly. My TV autoswitches without a flicker, very smooth.

I wonder if UTV is going to continue with its dodgy 16:9 switching :S Do they even know they have the problem ?? :S
