ITV1 Pictures on DSat

Firstly, I'm so sorry for the problems with posting. Not quite sure the problem - I'll look later.

Since I got Sky installed a couple of months ago, I have not watched ITV at all, and the only reason I've turned to analogue was to see BBC South East Today..

Have the EPG listings vanished again?

Postscript:

- every ITV region seems to be broadcasting something completely different
- nothing anywhere seems to be in widescreen

Anglia seem to blow all their regional stuff to 14:9, which looks horrid.

And I have a new digibox that I have to register my old viewing card with Sky before I can get up and running again !

Here's a little test then for folks currently getting ITV on DSAT:

Pull your card out. Does the box go to 'please insert your Sky card'? If it does then it's looking hopeful.

It should, since it's FTV!

The point is, there is a difference between FTA, FTV and region-locked. At the moment it's either FTA or FTV, and I don't see the point in NTL making it FTV if they're not going to leave it that way. If it's FTA (and the message does not appear on screen) then this is certainly a temporary thing (I did notice that the Anglia testcard went from FTV to FTA last night). If it's FTV there is a strong possibility that it'll stay that way, because it takes some setting up to make a channel specifically FTV. Anyone run the test?
