ITV1: A new beginning

Not as in the other thread a new look for Grampian, but a really nice promo for new programmes this week on ITV1. It be great if this look was used for all their trailers - looks far more classy than the current end-boards.

Yeah, it's really nice, and looks classy, gives the channel a more upmarket look. I hope they use this in the future but that seems unlikely.

They used something similar (if not the same) last year.

The end board doesn't really do it justice - has anyone got caps of the main part of the trailer with programme names in the bottom left!

In a way, this does seem a little strange - these graphics do indeed look very classy, and people were also going on about a lack of ECPs on ITV1 tonight. Plus there is the re-designed ITV website (if anyone's noticed) - again looking perhaps slightly more classy than before. All this leading up to the 50th Anniversary celebrations - could things finally be looking up?

Then again, we're all probably reading a bit too much into this, especially since it was only November that ITV introduced the new ients.

I wonder if this will be exactly the same as an extended trail used shortly after the renaming of ITV to ITV1 - which used yellow and white swirls with blue lines and bold, italic, orange lettering for the programme names.

Everyone (including me) got excited thinking that was how all trails would end up looking.

The design was never seen again.
