YES - a 16x9 clip would fit in their perfectly!

Watching the ident in Real Player again I think there is a clue to what may happen during Peaktime. Just after the beginning of the ident there is a large pale blue rectangle in the centre with at the left a smaller itv1 logo. I reckon this will be used to "trail" later programmes. The ident will then continue to finish with the logo centred on the screen as before. They'll probably just replace the clouds with a deeper blue background.

And it looks like I was right too! There was a new-look promo endboard just now, in exactly the style I (and freerj) suggested.

Back on topic, I've noticed that the breakbumper had a dark background this time around - looked quite nice too - I assume that this will be standard in the evenings. There's a capture on OWAN's site, I think.

No clouds - much darker and possibly the night time version?

I just had a look at the captured video of the ITV1 ident,
I guess it is a slight a improvement (as in non-celebs), but other then that quite boring and that jingle, who is even thought of it!

I think the last three notes are designed to sound like the last three notes on the celeb idents.

By the way, what was the last celeb ident ever used?

Probably just a mere coicidence but the beginning of the ITV1 ident linked too on the last page or so looks very much like the beginning of one of the ABC1 idents, just coloured dark and light blue!

Other than that, not too bad - but a little simple for an ident from one of the main channels I feel.
