Apologies if this has already been mentioned, but there was an ITV1 Yorkshire ident going into Calendar at 6pm yesterday when normally the programme comes straight out of a trail or advert. Let's hope it wasn't a one off. Anybody know if all other regions had a local ident as well?

Meridian had one also, and the announcer happened to be an ex-Meridian announcer too.

I was watching Tyne Tees and they had a local ident, which they didn't used to have. I will have a look at Westcountry tonight - although rather disappointingly they used the "West Country" name b4 the Regional Prog at 7.30 last night - I wish they would return to the "Westcountry" name.

That always annoy me they put " West Country" rather then "Westcountry"
but I see they have updated some sections of their website to "westcountry".

Were any local idents used this evening? I forgot to watch.

Shame. Thinking about it, I wonder if the use of the regional idents on Thursday had something to do with the schedule up to 6 being re-jigged a bit after the Band Aid video was played.

Having said that, given that the new idents and presentation are heavily geared towards promoting programmes coming up it seems daft that they don't use their last chance for an hour to promote the evening's line-up. They've shown on Thursday that they can do it, so why not every day?

Have you noticed that since the rebrand when the ECP makes its move, it does it in a blurry way with the text of the credits fading across. It's a bit off putting, I wonder why it does this
