Which logo do they want to use!

Someone on DS has posted a screengrab of ITV HD in a upscaled ITV1 state, and WOW the quality looks superb than sub-SD* and SD

It's now up scalling the football.

Judging by the quality of the ITV football picture usually, upscaling it may take it to a normal SD quality.

When you watch sport on ITV the graphics tend to have bitmappy edges (especially around the white ITV Sport logos), are these present on HD/Upscaled versions, and has anyone any idea of the reason for the edging.

How much live football does C4HD show? You have to be careful not to compare apples with oranges.

SD football may have been through a relatively low bitrate contribution circuit (one would hope 24-34Mbs MPEG2 but it could be nearer 10Mbs knowing ITV...) so the quality may be more related to the source reaching ITV playout, not the upscaling quality.

I haven't given it a go, I guess if I tune it in, it won't pick it up, so I'll have to do the same as yourself via the channel list software.
