ITV1 Fault

There was just a fault on ITV1.

During the last moments of tonight's Champions League coverage it kept cutting to an ITV1 slide for a second a time.

After the programme the adverts were having trouble, running for about 5 seconds then going black, then another one appeared and went off. After a period of black they stuck up an apology caption, a GMTV one that said GMTV Continues Shortly!, 2 seconds later they realised and stuck up a generic ITV1 logo. We stayed with that for the remaining 3 or 4 minutes of the ad break.

I presume this only effected regions broadcast from the Northern Transmission Centre

It sounds like that Leeds hadn't taken into account the extended coverage of the football!

Even Owen Thomas on the ITV News Channel said that Sir Trev would be along shortly for the ITV News at Ten Thirty but a little later than expected due to an overun on the football! At least we were informed!

It nearly went to extra time you know! I wonder what time ITV News at Ten Thirty would've started then?

Presumably 1030 or shortly after cos the programme in between would have been scrapped - it was only some bloomers programme anyway.
