ITV1 fault into 1050 news

Spotted this earlier this morning - South Bank seemed unable to join the scheduled news bulletin, ran with an ident still for a while with some music, then a static menu and a rundown by the announcer.

Anyone else catch this, and anyone know what happened in SMG/UTV land?

As the South Bank team assembles the network feed, it is safe to say that if they weren't able to join it, noone else did!
Isn't centralised presentation such a breakthrough!

I saw this this morning on UTV, which ran the ident, kept it on-screen for a few seconds, then we got the ITN VT clock for a couple of seconds, then a still of big blue for another couple of seconds then they went to UTV Live early. They ran a Busker and Barney after the news but I'm not sure if that's normally there. Not too badly handled for an announcerless fault beyond their control, I've seen worse on the GMG North stations in the past.
