I was hoping to get Granada or Tyne Tees.

And if we were 'really' lucky, maybe even Carlton Central.

Central and Tyne Tees coverlaps YTV quite a bit, but just nowhere near where I am.

I'm in the same boat as BBC 912: I have Meridian on 103 with 'WWTBAM?' and Carlton on 963 with Champions League something-or-other!

100% CONFIRMED ITV1 ON SKYDIGITAL NEWS

ITV1 Region Viewing

Bad news, folks. It's just your region on 103 and nothing else, unless you live in an overlap region. If you live in an overlap the adjoining region will be on 96x. However, all regions are still viewable via Other Channels.

ITV2 Is Broadcasting

ITV2 is now available to you all, albeit only through Other Channels. It's 10.906V 22.0 5/6 and channel 3-5. Pop Idol extra was happily being played out this afternoon, and I must add that some - sorry, all - of the singers were Crap with a capital C!!

Well I live in East Kent, and for some reason I've got ITV London on 103 - so I dread to think what's going to happen by the time the BBC have rolled out their regional service. I have Meridian, my proper region, on 963.

If this has happened to a lot of people its a huge, huge, cockup on ITV/NTL or Sky's part, and there are going to be a lot of angry advertisers..

Asa - do you usually get Carlton/LWT? If not, enjoy the videowall Very Happy

My Channel 4 region on DSat is North, however my terrestrial region is Midlands.

But, for ITV1, my main region is Carlton Central (which is right), and YTV as an overlap.

My Ch4 region is London I *thought* but the sky one seems to be South East, and now my ITV1 region is Anglia with NO additional ones in the 900's! Confused How can this be right when I get 2 other regions!

notice how llewela says 'itv 1 central' (does it really say just central?)and there was an interesting continuity announcement before the news too which said 'central's news':

is this just central pushing their luck with carlton- or could it be a sign (bearing in mind the new website in january)?

ITV has just announced that it has signed agreements with BSkyB for carriage of ITV1 and ITV2 on Sky Digital.

A Conditional Access agreement means that ITV1 will be available to all satellite viewers, with the main service in each region available on the Sky Digital Electronic Programme Guide ( EPG) on channel 103.

ITV1 has launched today (Wednesday 21 November). ITV2 will launch in the coming days on Sky Digital on channel 226. ITV2 is currently available on ITV Digital and on most cable systems. Carriage on Sky Digital will increase ITV2's distribution by over 150%.

Stuart Prebble, ITV Chief Executive said:

'This is good news for satellite viewers, who will be able to watch ITV1 and ITV2 through the Sky Digital EPG with digital quality pictures and full programme information. It's also good for ITV, which benefits from the 'digital dividend' which we receive for encouraging digital viewing. Over time ITV will also benefit from revenues from interactive programming and advertising.

'I'm delighted that ITV2 will now be available to the majority of multi-channel viewers. The channel is already a growth story, and this dramatic increase in distribution will allow it to realise its potential. In this competitive multi-channel world this deal will increase both the distribution and visibility of our channels.'

Just to point out that if you check out www.itv.com on the 'now available on Sky Digital page, it will tell you the phone number to call if you're not happy about your regions.

That's because Luton is officially Anglia-land! Fringy I grant you.... but Anglia. Of course a few people choose to watch London in Luton because they can.... I guess with postcode regions on Sky the line has to be drawn somewhere!

Well for what it's worth, in Milton Keynes we have Anglia on 103
but also London on 963 and Central on 964.

Lucky old us!
