Very. Endermol like having loads of curly edges on the sets of their programmes don't they?
Felt rushed, really, the 2:30 show. Drag Joe and Jenny on, say hey, cut them off, give them a question, stick one on the stand, get rid of the other and repeat. That's all the 2:30 show boiled down to. Fill the rest of the time with endless pontification and camera sweeps. I was thinking, seven weeks of this?!
I don't think he's the right person for this sort of show at all, really. But having said that I'm at a push to think as to who exactly would be good to host the format. Shaun isn't particularly charming towards contestants though, in the pod or otherwise but then neither is Anne Robinson
Matt Brown's clearly come a long way from the dizzy heights of, um, Nickelodeon
As for the text messages on the late night show - tacky and then somebody forgot to turn them off for the credits
Endermol seem to favour presentation over content sometimes, which is what's clearly happened here. It has to look pretty (I see big spotlights Millionaire-style are still in) but be devoid of any actual interesting goings-on. Scraping the bottom of the barrell no doubt.
Even better, extend CiTV to 5:30 or possibly even 6. Then, I suppose, the crap audience can more or less be justified.

Surprised nobody has passed comment on this programme yet. It really was poor don't you think ?

The format in itself isn't that bad, combining a quiz game with a reality TV show, but the execution of the idea just seemed awful. The "Quiz Pod" is reminiscent of 'Big Brother' and moreso the recent 'Shattered' (with red walls) but it's just tiny and naff looking. The Pod appears to be housed in the TV studio where all the contestants battle it out in the main 5pm show for a place in the pod.

Then there is the host. Shaun Williamson, nice enough guy, but why is fat Barry from Eastenders presenting a quiz show ? Surely a show like this needs an established, slick presenter ? Shaun didn't seem really comfortable, and to be fair, he seemed to be surrounded with incompetence with technical problems plaguing the first show. The contestants in the pod had to resort to holding up cards for their answers when the TV monitor things failed.

So, a typical Endemol production but with poor production values I'd say. Another 5-6pm flop no doubt, why don't they just simulcast the News Channel and have done with it ?
