Then 2.30pm sees the start of "24 Hour Quiz", which seems bizarrely to be presented by Shaun Williamson. (Isn't that him who played Barry out of Eastenders), maybe his success on Celebrity Mastermind landed him this role, but he seems an odd choice. 24 Hour Quiz will be ITV's latest attempt at resolving its 5pm problem as it returns daily from 5-6, and also there is a late night show at about 11.30pm presented by someone called Matt Brown. Anyone know who he is ?

Presumably we've all seen this advertised now. Although it is being promoted heavilly and has been talked about for months very little is actually known about what it actually will be like, anyone know anything?

Hopefully it'll be more successful in the ratings than "I'm the Answer", but the inclusion of Matt Brown isn't a good sign, Shaun Williamson also does seem a bit of a bizzare choice as host

Why what's wrong with Matt Brown. He's a good presenter he does what he's intended to do! He was good filling in for Kate on Pop Idol Extra last year!

I'm not entirely sure on the format of "24 Hour Quiz", but it certainly seems like it's going to be on a lot on ITV1 & 2. In fact, it's on every weekday for over 5 hours from 2.30pm on ITV1 or 2. With all this talk of living in "quiz pods" it sounds like an attempt at crossing a reality style TV show with a quiz show. Let's hope it's more Who Wants to be A Millionaire than Dale's I'm The Answer.

Here's a breakdown of each show :

2.30pm - 3pm ITV1
Members of the public audition to win a place in this afternoon's show, when they could take on one of the three Quizmates. Introduced by Shaun Williamson.

3pm - 5pm ITV 2
The Quizmates fight for survival in a two-hour session as they compete to win the right to stay in the money-making Quiz Pod for another 24 hours.

5pm - 6pm ITV1
Three Quizmates live together in a money-making Quiz Pod, earning cash for each correct answer they give to a stream of general knowledge questions. And in a daily head-to-head final, one of them takes on a member of the public who aims to replace them in the Pod. Introduced by Shaun Williamson.

6pm - 8pm ITV2
There could be a new Quizmate in the Pod, and a 'cramming' guest knocks on the door. Plus dinner decisions and Quizmates take on viewers via the phone lines.

11.30pm - 12.30pm ITV1
Time for the Pod party as presenter Matt Brown helps the three Quizmates chill out after a hard day's quizzing.

Those shows look like a load of crapola

Why am I supposed to care a jot about any of these contestants?

I agree, that showm looks like crap! Who is going to watch a quiz show for all those hours?

ITV should admit defeat and buy some overseas shows such as Shortland Street Laughing

I dont know about that Jez - im going to give this new type of quiz show a go!

I saw Shaun speaking about it on This Morning yesterday and he seems quite a good host as he loves quizzes himself and is an addict to pub quizzes! Im fed up of Bruce/Bob/Dale introducing every quiz/gameshow going - so its a refreshing change to let someone else have a go!

Matt Brown - my mind is still not made up about this 'character'. He hasnt really shone on any of his previous programs and the only memorable event from ITV's The Club was when Sam Fox turned up p*issed and Matt didnt really know what to do and just let it all kick off infront of him!

Im giving it a go but not all the shows as its totally unfeasible that someone is going to dedicate all their tv watching hours to this show - regardless how good it may or may not be!

God it looks crap, its on far too much, is it me but are ITV wanting to ruin ITV2 or something? By putting tons of the same old sh*t on everyday. It isn't very 24 hour-ie either, as its only on from 2.30pm - 12.30am. They must be running out of people too if they want Shaun Williamson.

It's about time ITV brought back one of the following to fill up the daytime gap:

- Supermarket Sweep
- Crosswits
- Win, Lose or Draw
- Wheel Of Fortune

As you could watch them, they wern't boring and 3 of them were on at 9.25am!

Maybe ITV daytime will get better when this new soap/spin off will launch.

Anyone have any idea's when that will be?

Isnt this soap spin-off gonig to feature Mike Baldwin's factory?

I think its a very poor idea and will not work!

Either that or the vets in Emmerdale or a police station specially built for Emmerdale.

I think having the medical centre in Corrie would be better than the factory, they could introduce more characters who wouldnt been seen in the evening eps of Corrie so it would be separate (like the Royal is separate to Heartbeat). But in order to have a few links to gthe main show they could have Gail as receptionist (AFAIK she still works there)

Atm I think ITV are thinking more of having an Emmerdale spin off rather than Coronation Street.
