I thought the problem was involving the wearing of Michelin tyres and the request for chicanes to be used on saturday....when there was refusal because additional pieces would make the car heavier, all but 6 cars boycotted.
I don't know about the beginning of the coverage, but from the mid-point and especially at the end there were a lot of adverts - three breaks within the last 20 minutes or so.

Back on to presentation - how did the ads work last night (and last week) considering ITV generally don't air too many on early Sunday evenings?
