music same though

For some reason here in the NE we're getting one set of music for the next slide and another for the ident. The ident music is the same as last year's but the next slide is not. The TV Room has a clip of last christmas's ident with the music used in the next slide - though I didn't hear that at all on Tyne Tees last year.

This is the music I remember from last year - in this clip. I've heard the short version today. It was also used on UTV last year.

This clip from The TV Room has different music - I didn't hear this at all last year. It's being used on the Next slide this year.

Is there any chance that last year (and maybe this year as well) there was(/is) a difference in music used in Leeds to that in London?

There's two versions of the music, an upbeat one and a slower one, just like the normal idents used the rest of the year

Thanks for that Andrew, I think that's the first time I've seen ITV produce local version of thier Christmas idents.

I didn't notice at first, but the snowflake/sparkle pattern (call it what you will) is made from hundreds of figure ones. Quite clever really.

If by most definately, you mean by the ITV Duty Office, that would be the same ITV Duty Office who told me they weren't having a christmas ident in 2004, just 2 days before they appeared on screen.

The words "arse" and "elbow" come to mind.
