Does this mean we've seen the last of the 2006 idents? The logo changes next month, so I guess they'd go straight from the Christmas idents to the new look?

Just checked and ITV2 appear to still be using normal idents.
CITV are still on autumn idents, have any of the other ITV channels done anything? For example ITV2 bringing back last years ident?

As had been said here before, it's a lot easier to justify spending money on this kind of thing if it's on air for a decent period of a few weeks rather than days (not helped this year by the 1st being a Saturday). Now that they're not just adding a few sparkles to a globe or logo you won't see them debuting on Christmas Eve again.

Exactly. The way people here work themselves up into a "IT'S TOO EARLY!!!" tizz every year is far more tedious than the actual "early" launch of said idents IMO. As long as it's December I really don't see the problem. We see the same idents day in day out on these channels for 11 months.....so why is it come December a mere 4 weeks 3 days (max) of new idents is suddenly an unbearable prospect? It'll be interesting to see how many of these people will be putting their own decorations up in the coming week and whether they see the irony.
