ITV1 Christmas 2012 presentation

ITV1's Christmas idents have launched this morning.

Nice to see they've made an effort this year. If I'm honest, I was expecting the same as last year (normal idents with Text Santa bugs).

They look very nice, though the announcer drowned out the musician the one at 11:20.
The end boards look lovely with a different font & gold logo.

The logo is a bit big on the break bumpers though IMO.

Is there only me thinking that its just a little too soon?
Are there any variants, the one at 11:20 had the rovers, the wool pack & downtown abbey as images going around.

Yeah, I was thinking that. They didn't start using them till the second Saturday of December last year.

Fair play to ITV for doing this so close to a major rebrand. Major props!

I'd love some caps if anyone is able, would be very grateful as on the road at the mo!

CITV are still on autumn idents, have any of the other ITV channels done anything? For example ITV2 bringing back last years ident?
Watching it, part of me feels that it suits ITV3 more, maybe that's the red, and old fashioned style.

I don't think it is. 1st Dec, 1st Saturday of the month, Advent starts tomorrow - makes sense.

Gotta say, ITV have impressed me this year, they've made an effort! (especially since the ever approaching rebrand, as pad said)

Does this mean we've seen the last of the 2006 idents? The logo changes next month, so I guess they'd go straight from the Christmas idents to the new look?
