ITV1 Christmas 2010 ident

The ITV1 Christmas ident has launched this morning. It's new and very pretty! A glittery logo, floating '1's' and a christmassy town backdrop. Beautiful... If a bit early!

What a pleasant surprise and a great overall package by the looks of it. My only gripe is that they've saddled it with the terrible original arrangement of that music, after all those nice remixes they did for the new idents earlier in the year.

It deserves a much better soundtrack.

A nice effort and good to see ITV don't seem to be neglecting Christmas presentation anymore - though as with the BBC it's at least a week too early - although I guess for ITV this weekend is Christmas for them.

What lovely Christmas presentation, it looks lovely, though as has already been said, they could have done something a bit more with the music.
They don't seem to have adapted the ecp yet though.
And something that bugged me last year, they have a lovely reasonably sombre ident for Christmas, why do they then go back to using the skyscrapers or fountains idents for pre news junctions.

I see they're showing Bridget Jones : The Edge of Reason tonight, with the original version airing next Saturday. I know that they air Star Wars not in the order of production, but surely this is just strange scheduling.

As for other ITV, I see that ITV2 has new breakbumpers with green, white & black candy canes, baubles & presents falling around it. I haven't seen a Christmas Ident, which would have been reasonably easy to produce with these breakbumpers. Hopefully there is one. Have they done anything with ITV 3 & 4?
