Will tomorrow bring Central branded endcaps

There is a very, very, slight possibility. But it's also very unlikely.

AIUI, the regional news operations of the franchises owned by ITV plc. are from tommorow to come under the ITV News group, so rather than Central or Westcountry endcaps returning, their might be a possiblity of these programmes being "An ITV News Production".

I think he is talking more about the regional programmes. Is "Top to Toe" at 2.30pm tommorow and also last week on ITV1 Carlton for Central England made by Carlton or is it a independant?

If the Carlton name is gone then the endcap will have to say something, maybe Central, maybe "A GR/N/DA Production", who knows?

The various Carlton production arms are being merged with Granada's, and are being branded as Granada Productions, so the non-news programmes may well end up being a Granada Production. I think it is also very possibly from tommorow production brands like LWT and Yorkshire may disappear, not sure though.

i'm 90% sure that its made in house by central - its actually quite fab, bra maintenance, fashion tips and skin care with denise welch. comes from a studio at central east.

should be interesting to see who new (non-news) productions are credited to - with "carlton" ceasing to exist.

I don't see why they couldn't keep all the company names - GMG always kept the endcaps so why they would dissapear now I don't know.

2.30 today, ITV1 Westcountry ran one of their regular regional "blocks on the landscape" ident with "ITV1 in the Westcountry" along the bottom. I presume it was similar in the Midlands... no "ITV1 Central" then...

Westcountry follows the same format as every other region with 'ITV Westcountry' and 'An ITV Production' at the end. Copyright is also now (c)ITV 2004.

It's a bit odd really, that the local news is an ITV Production whilst the national news is an ITN Production. And the attempt to blur the lines between the two is lost a bit when they stick up an ITN endcap in between the two.

Today's edition would have been filmed today (Des and Mel were looking at today's newspaper). However, I've been invited to a recording of Des and Mel's show one evening next week, and surprisingly not at lunchtime as I thought.

Sorry if this has been mentionned elsewhere but what endcaps are Central using now??? I have been at work all day and haven't seen any regional programmes on the new look ITV1 yet.

Please let us know. Cheers.

They are still using "A Carlton Production for Central England"
