ITV1 Breakdown

ITV1 fell off the air about 10 minutes into 'The Jeremy Kyle Show'. The screen flickered then went green for about 30 seconds, before going to a breakdown caption. The announcer appologised for the technical difficulties, and now we have some very jazzy music playing.

The show has just come back on the air. It looks like they've skipped a little bit of the show, but only about 10 seconds.

Was this just on ITV1 Wales, or was it national?

Saw it out of the corner of my eye on UTV...

Certainly the case in Meridianland although my mum (who mentioned it) said there was no announcement or music played and said she stuck with it for a little while before changing channels?

The music came about 2 minutes into the breakdown, so she might not have stuck around for long enough. Unfortunately, I can't remember if the announcer (who came on with the breakdown caption after about 30 seconds of green screen) mentioned ITV1 or ITV1 Wales.

UTV just showed the ITV1 ribbons still on the screen for about 2 mins.

It's a shame ITV1 doesn't have a specialist breakdown caption like other channels - it makes their branding look "one size fits all". Paul Jamieson's announcement was recorded; Sonia was the morning announcer.

We had music on Westcountry, but I made the whole thing 5 minutes.
