ITV1 Best Idents

I hated them at the time but I do think ITV1's Blue & Yellow themed idents were the best.

still don't much care about the present or recent past ITV1 idents. They should have stuck with the original corporate ITV logo from the early to mid 90's. (the one where each region even had their own version as well as the default version - the funny V ones I mean - and it was a montage of the genres of programming that they DID actually do!!!)

It's only when they get replaced when you start to think that the previous set were good. I grew very bored of the celebrity idents but now I wouldn't mind them back.

That's a shame that you have to look at them comparig them to what we have now to appreciate them.

Out of the lot, the 2004 set was the best in my opinion, even if it could have done with a few more idents.

I prefere the 2007 Idents.

TV from the heart was a pretty naff concept, but the idents were pretty imaginative in the way that the heart was formed - similar to what Channel 4 do today in some respects.

I always liked the celebrity idents. I like the concept of putting a face and personality to the brand. I particularly liked the way that regional personalities were used before the news/regional features - made it look like some thought had gone into playout.

Favourite was the four squares - thought they were a very versatile branding technique, but I absolutely hated the font used in the old logo though - awful.

Much prefer the current logo, though I'm still not convinced on yellow and black for ITV1 and I would have tied news into the the corporate colours rather than teal - whats the logic behind teal?

I personally think the current set is vastly superior to the 2004 set. Although certainly not perfect, it's a big improvement on what we've been getting over the past few years.

My vote is for the 2004 ident set, as they look professional and clean. WHY did they have to change them so soon?

Out of them, my vote would go for the 2002 celebs. All the others (possibly excluding the 1999 hearts) are just dull.
