Just a quickie here but I noticed the other day that the ID bar on ITV1 in our Region has changed from 'Granada Television' to 'itv1' and most of the old ITV Ancillary Text pages have also been removed aswell. I take it that it happened on Tuesday 1st. I'm aware that this has happened in London, but can I presume that the same has happened in the other Regions that are controlled from Leeds?
I've not looked on analogue for a while but I noticed STV put a plug for their website the last time i saw it ('stv.tv').
Is that even allowed?
That's rather unusual, but saying that I've noticed on the BBC they often put the title of the programme on the bar when it is starting. A bit like a Now/Next EPG really..
Hmm, that's spooky. I was tuning in a new TV last weekend and found two ITV1 channels. One said Yorkshire Television, the other Tyne Tees. As it turns out, I can receive Bilsdale as well as Emley Moor. I thought to myself that these names were "outdated" really.
Its said ITV1 here for ages now (Central East/Watham), Same with page 600.
I did notice when I was bored the other night that my weak Yorkshire Signal did still say Yorkshire on page 600. I've just done a check and now its saying ITV1 now.
The 600 pages have been gone for a while now, the ITV logo on the pages is the old one.
I wonder if when GMTV is on if it changes over to GMTV still, It certainly did 2/3 days ago.(At least on Central)
Page 600 has the "This service has been discontinued" text but with Fastext links relating to the old Westcountry/Carlton Plus pages still in place. The GMTV pages in the 640s are still there.
I didn't even know that these 600 pages existed until I read this thread but on inspection UTV's look like this! Notice the old UTV logo which as last used over 7 years ago!
If that is today's date than those pages have been in use for as much as ten years now.
Shame we can't see them on Sky.
Yes I just took them before I posted that. The strange thing is though, even though the whole thing is so ancient looking, all the information on it is bang up to date! The CSA details are the ones that are currently running on UTV, the blood donation details are for the next few weeks and there are other pages that I didn't post such as their radio station U105's current schedule etc etc! How hard would it be to update the main page to the new logo and new slogan?
