Speaking of those teletext style ID's, not sure if this has been mentioned before but sometimes when I select BBC2 as soon as the ident appears for the next programme, instead of BBC TWO being generated at the bottom of the screen in teletext version, I get the actual programme name. It stays for a few seconds before reverting back to BBC TWO

I've been getting that since January, quite a novel little feature.

Apparently it's part of the teletext specification that had yet to be used, It's only been made possible by the new playout system the BBC introduced.

IIRC there was a problem at first which meant that everyone thought they were watching a channel called 'Bobinogs Going' (a kids programme apparently)

None of the TV's in my house have that since we use digital, but I noticed at my Gran's that BBC TWO Scotland seems to flash, GMTV usually stays for the whole day, Channel 4 says 'Channel 4 Television' and Five is off-centre! Strange.

Loosely connected. Apparently there was one EPG that couldn't quite fit in "Celebrity Worst Mingers" but could only come up with "Celebrity Worst Minge" Now, whether that was geninue or somebody being clever in a graphics package on b3ta Smile

We lost all of the last part of X-Men and some of Millionaire. Only noticed it whilst skipping channels - the last part of x-men started then it all went black : 18:45 - ~ 19:30. Can only assume Charse Allen can't afford to employ people to watch the output anymore , must be desperate for those " celebs " on the island to start sh*gging to improve the ratings. What a way to run a network. Rolling Eyes

Well I'm sure he won't be around much longer. ITV Plc. will probably be bought by some American idot... and they'll employ someone with even less sense to run the stations (is that possible?) Rolling Eyes .

Why would John McCririck want to buy ITV?

Surely he's a Channel Four person.

Although Big Mac looks very similar, that's actually Malcolm Glazer.
