Well on ITV Wales analogue tonight we had the ITV West Weather, so there appears to be problems. It was fine on digital though.

People who work for ITV probably don't know the difference between them. Afterall, they both begin with W. Wink

Sounds like the ITV equivelent of what the BBC would call RBS.

ITV1 is off analogue in my area: 'CARMARTHEN'
Is just says sorry for the break in our programmes we will get them back to you as soon as we can.
That message with a blue screen has been on my tv for an hour and a half.
Anybody else having problems like that?

So that caption is still about then?! Transmitter-generated, I would assume.

Actually the one that gets them most confused is ITV1 West - and ITV1 West Country.

I have noticed today, ITV 1 Wales is not being broadcast, the feed must be coming from London because during TOONATIK, instead of the teletext bar poping up saying: http://www.rp-networkservices.com/tvforum/uploads/gmtv_copy2.jpg

There was a bar just showing: http://www.rp-networkservices.com/tvforum/uploads/itv1_copy1.jpg

And at 9:25 this box was supposed to turn up: http://www.rp-networkservices.com/tvforum/uploads/itvwales_copy1.jpg
But the ITV1 still remained there.

And also I noticed during the ITV1 ident WALES didn't appear under the logo.
Is this because they are doing transmission repair work or something?

Speaking of those teletext style ID's, not sure if this has been mentioned before but sometimes when I select BBC2 as soon as the ident appears for the next programme, instead of BBC TWO being generated at the bottom of the screen in teletext version, I get the actual programme name. It stays for a few seconds before reverting back to BBC TWO

Do all of the regions transmitted from London have the itv1 ID? Up here in the North East it's still TYNE TEES TELEVISION - are the rest of the Leeds stations still showing the real name of the station?

I've noticed that on BBC ONE as well as BBC TWO. Once on BBC TWO it displayed the ident name - Domino Short

Basically means that the transmitter has lost it's feed, so it puts that up instead.

One way to check if it is RBS - to to text page 100 and press reveal and see what pops up.

I pressed it and it said PRE

ok, I'm assuming that your transmitter is Carmel, based on Wolfbane

PRE I would assume to be Preseley so I suspect Carmel is rebroadcasting Preseley's output. Either that or I'm talking rubbish and Carmel isn't a teletext insertion point anyway and it always says Preseley.
