I have noticed over the last few days that ITV1 have been showing trailers for other programmes about 1/3 the way through an ad break instead of just before the programme starts. I suppose this is to make people here the advert and hurry to the tv thinking the programme is starting (it almost caught me out with Corrie tonight!)

I think they started doing this a few months ago, thats when i noticed it. They must be experimenting but its frustrating because usually when you see a trail you know the program is going to start! Mad Smile

I've only noticed it within the last two days here on Anglia (West).

I got caught out with Corrie - came rushing in because I heard the trailer so thought it was about to start but it was a good 3 minutes of adverts before it did Evil or Very Mad

They've been doing it for ages - so annoying!

They did it for a period a couple of years ago too but it didn't last long then.

Never mind the adverts - has anyone else noticed that ITVs EPG on Sky has gone doo-lally??

Since Wednesday id u record someting on Sky+ it just carries on, on and on, and on...until it runs out out disk space!

Fortunately I was after Emmerdale, Corrie & the Bill on Wed, but they all came up as Emmerdale. The others were "failed recording".

Has anyone else had this. I spoke to Sky tonight (15 times to get an answer - cut off 4 times) they say it's ITV's fault for not updating EPG correctly. Grrrrrr Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

I remember that back then, very annoying. Perhaps someone at ITV has read the "Is it moral to record off of the tv onto DVD / Sky Plus" thread Laughing

Yes they are. They announced they were going to start doing this a long, long time ago but the only ad break they regularly used this method in was the one following the lunchtime news (when it was on for 30 minutes at 12.30).

Sounds more like your Sky+ box is having a fit, as I recorded those shows, and it recorded as expected.
