A 'Saturday' promo has just aired

ITV West made no mention to the the regional programme at 7.30pm, they just promoted the 8pm programme. Was this the same on all regions? Does that mean the regional idents have gone?

Tyne Tees had one, just "Tyne Tees" under the |itv| side of the logo, rather small letters. Neutral
BTW, it scenery was standard.

Yes but clearly that was because they told us Tonight was coming up at 11.55pm which was an opt out from the network (because Wales showed Wales This Week at 8pm when everyone else had Tonight)

I like the music used in some of the idents, mainly the theme they use on the coming next slides, sounds good.

How many variants of ITV1 idents are there ?


Well so far there seems to be

1. Strange Man/Tree Hugging
2. Dog in Car/Kids rolling down hill
3. Tooth kid/Garage door man
4. Man with flowers
5. The famous muddy pigs
6. Kids in box/Man chasing cows
7. Boxing/Football crowd
8. "Embarrassment"

Any more?

Well they might as well call it ITV1 Wales if they have to record another announcement for regional programmes anyway, unless they go down the road of having an announcement saying a programme will be on later with no mention of the regional programme!

Meridian had the same. Mad I really hate the ITV1 continuity at times. They should ensure ALL local programmes have local continuity. To do it in dribs and drabs is just messy and unprofessional. Besides, BBC1 does it without fail, so why can't ITV1 follow suit? Rolling Eyes

The Tyne Tees ident referred to the regional programme, with a warning that it may be unsuitable for young children.

Is ITV.com getting a makeover in stages? The ITV2 and ITV News logos have only just appeared today on their respective pages. But from what I've seen, it's pure laziness. The ITV2 website has just had the green logo added and a bit of a colour change, but it still has the 2 box at the bottom left, and it still says x:clusive yet as far as I know, this strand is no longer on the channel. Furthermore, the ITV4 site doesn't even look part of the ITV site, and is a far more advanced site than the others, for some reason. This could have been a great chance to give the whole site a much needed makeover but from what I've seen, not much has really changed.
