I believe it's supposed to show the emotion of being happy, ie. "Happy as a pig in Sh*t"
Do you think ITV is trying to tell us what they think of their channels?

Just one scene per ident, the logo animating as it does now but with the original background being slightly blurred. As the line finishes moving out the focus is pulled through into the main object of the ident; possibly with a pause/flash as the logo either forms into the centre or the bottom corner.
Exactly, I'd always imagined that each ident would have been on one individual emotion, like there would have been one with a person laughing, or one with someone crying. But instead each ident seems to have a mish mash of different emotion in them, and as a result they just seem messey to me.

All Idents are of a different emotion, just a range of clips showing that same emotion.

All Idents are of a different emotion, just a range of clips showing that same emotion.

I like the music used in some of the idents, mainly the theme they use on the coming next slides, sounds good.
