It's very difficult so see, even in daylight. However, I'm not a conspiracy theorist, so I'm sure it was just a mistake! Confused

Oh, don't count on it... I'm sure the idea was to make the ITV logo as prominent as ever.

Really?

I'm disgusted at the thought of such subterfuge, Nicky! Wink

I didn't realise they'd even bothered to update the signs to ITV Yorkshire, I thought it was still Yorkshire Television minus a chevron, that "fell off"

LOL - in the same way the bumpers would 'fall off' my car if I removed the connecting rivets, perhaps.

ITV replaced the signage on almost all of their buildings following the merger.

Even though I didn't particularly like the 'garish' red & orange Carlton star logo covering the corner of the building at Langage in Plympton, it was preferable to both the 'blue & yellow' and the drab grey effort when they slapped the generic 'ITV Westcountry' identity onto a corner of it.

I'm sure the signs are standard issue across the whole company. I doubt the person who ordered them has ever been to Leeds

They aren't all as bad as that, the smaller signs are on a white background.

The blue/yellow logo didn't look too bad, with the 4 squares underneath as well.

Never seen the Leeds studios up close but found an image on http://maps.live.com/default.aspx?v=2&FORM=LMLTSN&cp=sz0g9jgw276x&style=b&lvl=2&tilt=-90&dir=0&alt=-1000&scene=22088906&phx=0&phy=0&phscl=1&encType=1
The place looks huge, wherabouts in this complex are the 4 studios,
everything looks like offices?

The two large white roofs are two studios, with Countdown in the smaller roofed studio.

There only are 2 studios, which I would guess are the 2 silver roofed bits in the middle of the building?

Just a guess, but I'd imagine the studios are in the two main grey-roofed areas in the centre; presumably that would allow for lighting rigs etc...

I thought when this building was erected there were 4 studios in this complex? At the bottom of the image there is a tv mast erected next to the building, would that part of the complex have been a studio?
Where did Calendar come from when it was based here and where is the studio that is now storing tapes?

Not a TV mast, it is used for chimney possibly for air conditioning and boilers.
