Sorry to take this off topic once more but just thinking off the top of my head Sky have Jeff Stelling, Dave Jones, Simon Thomas, Scott Minto, David Tanner, Julian Warren, Ben Shepherd, Kate Abdo, Sarah Jane Mee, Natalie Sawyer & Graham Little who are all at the channel and presented live English, Scottish or International Football on the channel so they have plenty to consider for the job.

Well, some of those are very minor figures in the grand scheme of things. I would not be surprised if Jeff Stelling took on Chamberlin's duties, given that until the end of last season he was presenting the Champions League. Now he's only doing Soccer Saturday again which, obviously, is very high profile, but he could certainly present the Sunday and Monday games. It would be no more work than he was doing last season, without the overseas travelling. Yeah, he'd probably have to give up the midweek Soccer Specials, but he only started doing them again this season.

Indeed, I wouldn't be surprised if Sky weren't desperately broken hearted that Chamberlin has gone and didn't try massively hard to keep hold of him because they were looking for a more prominent role for Stelling.

It'd be a big commitment broadcasting for 6 hours on Saturday and another 6 hours (on location to boot) on Sunday, though I could see him doing MNF alright.

Could the Saturday lunchtime kick off, which Sky have the rights to from next season, be worked into Soccer Saturday?

Sky Sports don't seem overly keen on sharing talent with terrestrial broadcasters as in reality Ed Chamberlain could probably continue hosting on Sundays and Mondays if he wanted to combine the roles.

Your quite right on Sky sharing talent as you say Chamberlain has no reason to not do Super Sunday and MNF alongside ITV Racing on a Saturday but Sky obviously are not keen on it.. You don't see much Sky Sports talent on other channels, Ben Shepherd presents on ITV & Sky Sports but doesn't do any Sport for ITV and Thierry Henry seems to be the only person from Sky Sports who is going to the Euros for the BBC or ITV and he may of had this stipulated in his contract before he joined Sky as he did MOTD and the 2014 World Cup for the BBC.

I'm not saying Sky Sports are suddenly going to throw someone like Graham Little or Natalie Sawyer into MNF next season if Chamberlain leaves but I believe Sky do not want to recruit someone from the BBC like Mark Chapman but promote from within and they do have a big personnel of football presenters. Personally I think your right that Jeff Stelling will go to do MNF with Gary Neville probably returning and he would probably stop doing the midweek Soccer Specials, I also think Dave Jones will move over to Super Sunday and probably of the Football League presenters Simon Thomas will probably be promoted to Saturday Lunchtime games with Scott Minto becoming the main Football League host. Dave Jones will also probably host the Friday Night games they are doing next season.

You'd have issues with Sunday racing, though, given that when there is live racing on Sunday it's usually high profile. I think the two jobs together would be too tough to combine, given they'll both be on location, possibly at completely different ends of the country.

It would seem unlikely that they would merge the Saturday lunchtime games into Soccer Saturday because Soccer Saturday is on Sky Sports News from midday so what do they show for the first three hours? I wouldn't consider doing Soccer Saturday and Super Sunday a major imposition, a lot of the Sky Sports News presenters are on for several hours at a time, five days a week. It would be around the same he was doing up until the end of last season, and he'd have the weekdays free.

By the time he went, Richard Keys was sometimes on five days a week, with Premier League games on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, and then the Champions League on Tuesday and Wednesday. I know it's not a particularly good example because that was probably responsible for his downfall in that he might have thought he ran the place. But you know what I mean.

Just one person missed off the list of presenters on Sky, who have presented live soccer in the past for them, domestic wise. Jim White.

Back to ITV, and a little thought, which may turn out to be an unlikely proposition. You may remember Angus Loughran, who commentated on soccer for Eurosport, and gave the SPs at race meetings on the BBC. He was declared bankrupt several years ago, which led to him losing his BBC role. But, I think the whole situation was sorted out. Angus Loughran now, I believe, does tips for racing websites. Could it be that he gets drafted in by ITV, to do the SPs and the results?
