Right. Let's see. Works on Sky digital, not on, presumably, terrestrial on two completely seperate chanels. Hmmmm. Hard one. Could it be...A fault with the transmitter?

Yes wonderful to see ITV coping with it's mass redundancies isn't it ?
Even if no-one in the rest of the country was watching , you'd think they might have made a bit of effort themselves . Does no-one watch off-air ITV West at ITV West ? How long was it like that if it stretched from the local news ( 1800-1830 ) into the local prog. ( 1930-2000 ).
What a shower of sh ite. Very Happy

Don't be silly; they'd be the LAST people you'd expect to watch it, they KNOW how bad it is.

Seriously though, remember it's all played out from London. Whilst the re-read of the Bristol Evening Post is occurring between 18:00 and 18:30, everyone's pretending to be busy, so won't watch off air. After 18:30 they all go home and aren't interested any more, assuming the people at the South Bank are monitoring properly.

But it happened during the local news , didn't it ? Surely they have someone watching what passes( I use the term advisedly) for news actually goes out on air correctly ? Or are ITV so thoroughly up their own backside that they believe nothing can go wrong ? Or even if it does it won't matter - because they are so important ! Confused

I wouldn't expect so, Cowboy.

They'll check it's leaving the news studio gallery okay, but beyond that they won't care a toss.

Remember there's no MCR or anything like that in Bristol (or Cardiff or Southampton) any more to check things downstream of the gallery.

The MCR staff all got kicked out, so the news studio people couldn't care less. It's a typical case of "It's all right leaving me"!

Well done Mr. Allen. I suppose he's made hundreds of Bristol people - who are renowned for their love of all things Welsh , after all , - extremely happy ! Razz
