Being nosy and having the PC on, I checked - seems to be the usual cock-up. The thing I want to know is why STV referred to ITV as being behind the problem but directed viewers to the STV site. In addition, ITV have nothing about any of this on their own site. Any ideas why?

Although technically not breaking any rules, I think This Morning have morally at least been guilty of a bit of a Christmas con this week.

On Monday they launched their Christmas competition with all profits going to the This Morning Care for Carers appeal - 78p from each £1 call.

Now as usual the competitions continue on This Morning, but since Tuesday they've just been the standard T&Cs with no money to charity. Now, it's not implied at all these latter competitions were to raise money for charity, but I suspect after Monday many casual viewers, including myself, would assume that they are.

And in other TV fixing scandals, claims the FA Cup Draw on Sunday was flawed with number 24 - Manchester United - being declared when the number 25 ball - Middlesbrough's - was drawn. When number 25 was announced, the ball was partly concealed so you could not see the number. The Daily Star are of course claiming "fix", while the FA say it's a "trick of the light".
