ITV to show The Office US

ITV will show the American version of The Office this autumn.

The network has been granted exclusive rights to the series, and plans to show the programme on ITV2. The show will run from September 24 of this year.

Jay Kandola, ITV's Director of Acquisitions is excited by the news: "We are delighted to have acquired this hit show. ITV2 is the most popular multi channel on air in the UK at the moment and with the push towards comedy, this will sit very well in the schedule along side the huge US hit Entourage, which airs this Sunday.”


I wouldn't be surprised if it appeared in a late night slot on ITV1 as well

For a US remake 'The Office' is not that bad. IMO it will be a welcome addition to a rapidly improving ITV2. Sorry, is that allowed? or does every post regarding ITV have to be punctuated with "pathetic"?

I think pathetic can be replaced with a similar adjective, but failure to use anything at all is likely to lead to suspension (it's in the Terms and Conditions).

WHY? ITV has to filed up there schedule with US stuff, where all the UK stuff, ITV is just not trying anymore! ITV2 should just be called ITVUS!

channel 4 is full of US telly, you don't slag them at every opportunity.

Channel four isn't a production Company! ITV is supposed to BE, just because a Programme is done well else where, does not mean ITV has to grab it at first chance to help sort it channel out!

There a difference between Ch4 – ITV:
Channel 4 has good programmes! ITV doesn’t!

I will Praise ITV when and IF there make a great decisions!

Half of the programmes on C4 are imports - maybe the fact C4 has good programmes is something to do with the fact that half of them arent their own!
