ITV thread

I think that programme (and thus ITV2 DOG) is 4:3 and the +1 thing was still in 16:9 mode, hence why it looks abit squashed.

Are ITV increasing their regional slots ? It looks like from next week, regional programmes are allocated slots at 8pm on Monday & Friday, as well as the existing 7.30pm slots Tuesday & Thursday.

4 regional half hour slots during the week ? Looks like the most in a long time, but probably just as a summer replacement for Tonight.

and Sunday at 6pm as well

I believe it was mentioned here before as part of the Summer schedule announcement that extra regional slots would be available as Tonight goes on a Summer break

I'm guessing the time will be taken back elsewhere, probably in the Autumn, as I'm rather surprised in the amount of Regional programmes on ITV1 next week.

Its probabaly an average during the year, as several weeks we havent had a Tuesday 7.30pm programme due to football, and also the Sunday 6pm regional programme wasnt on for a long period as well.

Tyne Tees repeated a local programme from 2005 on Sunday at 6pm, oh the joy!
What happened to the regional slot on Thursdays at 11.30pm I think it was, do they still have that aswell?

The regionals are getting the Monday and Friday 8pm slot?

Anyone watching This Morning? Denise is on the sofa, helping callers with guilt. A woman phoned to say she feels guily as her husband has alzheimer's, and she can't look after him properly on her own. Ruth then said her parents are the same, and she started crying. I am in tears now as well. So emotional.

They usually have political programmes in that slot dont they, so they may be on their summer break as well.

ITV Wales opt out Thursday at 11pm as they still show more regional programmes than the other regions.

11.30pm on a Thursday is usually Soccer Night on Granada, so as it's Summer they're taking a break until the start of the New Season.
