Agreed. While that slug's horrible, it's nowhere near as bad as America's slugs. The Discovery Channel uses a constantly animating DOG which occasionally springs into a HUGE slug reminding you, just in case you're interested, that there's a competition on to a premium rate hotline.
Im really annoyed with the treatment of Tycoon. OK so this programme had appalling viewing figures however 1.9 million people watched it and at least some of those people must have really liked the programme (I know I did). To cut the programme from 60 mins to 30 mins is ridiculous - ok so it was convenient to put it in the half hour 10pm slot - but it really felt far too rushed last night, and loads was cut out. I want to watch the programme in full, not the edited highlights. Couldnt they have put it on at 11pm and given it the full hour. Or at least repeat it later in the week so those who want to stay up and watch the full episode can.
Some people on DS keep saying an hour episode was or is going to be shown on ITV4 but I haven't see anything in the listings.
I checked the listings and its half an hour on ITV4 on 18th July.
That is a missed opportunity on ITV's part.
ITV4's ratings are pretty poor, and if there are a quarter of a million fans of Tycoon they'd get most of those if they put the hour-long show on there (and perhaps even in advance of the ITV1 showing). I mean the pre-edited versions must exist, and it's not as if '4 is bursting to the seams with quality programmes is it?

I agree. Or they could have just split the 1 hour episode in half and shown half last night at 10pm and half tonight on ITV1, or even the 2nd half next week even if it would drag it out longer. It wouldnt have looked any worse doing that than cutting chucks of the programme out.
