Who the heck was tonight's announcer on ITV1? Someone please tell her that in this country, the word is pronounced SHEDULE not SKEDULE.

There may well be some genuine Cold Blood if ITV don't get rid of this intrusion soon. If they must have it, lose the black background - that would make all the difference. And why the animation - what does that do other than say "look what our DVE toy can do"?

The difference is UK broadcasters use them seconds before the closing credits, while in the US and Australia they are usually used at the beginning of each part - and often as part of a graphic which acts as a "Welcome back" thing...
So like above, NBC crash from the commercials straight into the action with the "Now: Days of our Lives" and then switch it to promoting another show.
