Ant1 has always been a channel that imo, is quite a modern leader for Greek television - but not so much for it's logo, they should follow something BBC-ish - keep the design but change it.

If this trailer for "Christmas At the Riveria" is anything to go by, it looks like there will be something sparkly fly around the logo for a brief moment. Isn't that about the limit that channels go to with their Christmas presentation these days ?

I'm surprised that UTV haven't started rolling out their Christmas presentation yet - they are usually quick off the mark every year, trailers and idents are usually unleashed by now (as is a sighting of the 2003 snowflakes!) with the IVC backdrop debuting on the Friday before Christmas. There's nothing on their website yet mentioning their Christmas schedule yet...
I wouldn't be too surprised if we get last year's Southern (Independent Television) inspired package with just a change in slogan from "You're/Your Home for Christmas" to "It's all about U this Christmas" or the like in the idents.

So if there even is an attempt at christmas idents this year on ITV1, I assume it will be one of the idents, say the beach one.. with some yellow sparks around the logo. Christmassy or what! 
Its a shame, because ITV1 could do something great, say a big tree in a town square, yellow sparks flying around, would look fantastic.

I was quite surprised as well, I even got up early on Monday morning to see if the Christmas pres had started yet (yes I'm that sad!) I thought sure it would have started on Monday considering last year it started on Monday 11th and the year before that on Monday 12th. UTV Life haven't even got their Christmas tree up yet! Noticed on the Radio Times website though that UTV Life is going to be on air for an hour again in the week running up to Christmas. So I presume the Christmas pres will coincide with that.

They could do something simple like flying towards a tree with an ITV1 logo on the top.
Saying that, we may be surprised, and I'm hoping that we are.
I personally say that the 2003 Christmas pres was the best that the networked ITV1 has come up with, with the 3D snowflakes used on everything from the squares on the trailers, the endcaps, the idents and the ECP's, the only downside was on the celeb idents, but they did add the snowflakes and was a hell of a lot different to 2002 when they just added something.
2004/5 was quite nice based on what they had to use in the idents.
Last year was a total disapointment.
At least this year they have done something a bit more than add sparkles, and I'm hoping that they can do something which involves a dark Christmas scene with that fairy or whatever they are using.
I doubt we'll have anything like my idea, but I'm really hoping for something.

They could do something simple like flying towards a tree with an ITV1 logo on the top.
