They've been like that for a couple of weeks now.
It's not like it on all of the promos but just some of them, don't know what's causing it though.

Is anyone else noticing issues with ITV 1 promos at the moment. They seem to have been raised from the bottom of the screen leaving a thick black band.

Its seem that ITV still hold the master copies of music, but not on their Digital computer system

Nice cock up on ITV1 Wales into Emmerdale tonight. The pre-recorded Wales only announcement voiced by the London announcer was played over the network live announcement by the same voice (Paul Jamieson).
Good on them for attempting a local announcement for Wales however I would have thought Network Control in London would have ironed out all these problems.
ITV continuity is pretty poor compared to the BBC and Channel 4 though - very bland!

I have noticed many of the ITV problems and changes the digital channel ads and no dogs, the many mistakes at junctions - especially as I was recently in wales, and the rising promos of ITV1.
As some have pointed out, it doesn't seem to be every promo, especially for the fact that on the one for Trinny & Susanah undress the nation, the black goes above the line of the ITV1 logo, so it's not even as if it's the whole promo that it's affecting, its a very strange effect to add. At first I though it was my TV, but glad that it isn't.
I'm not sure which I prefer, ITV removing the coloured logos from adverts, or them having the transparant logos on all including adverts. As some have said before, you may not need a dog to tell you what channel you're on as you may know from the programmes, but adverts you see one most channels.
As fo the wales promos, I just wish that Wales could have control back. Saying that, I think most regions should - especially into regional programmes, even if it is the News director/producer that does them. But Wales I think being a nation, and the only nation under ITV's control they should give them a bit of freedom, ok, the schedules don't differ too much, and neither do the idents, but I'm sure that most people in wales would like live spoken idents with a welsh accent, I know I would if I lived there.
As for Christmas, I'm just hoping that ITV can do something this year, I was hoping for something last year (as the idents only debuted in November last year), but nothing, so hopefully they'll have realised that they made a mistake by not having any Christmas branding, saying that why they couldn't create a snowy background and add on the glittering logo that featured on the promos is beyond me. Though they did do well for 3 years with the news ident of 2003 Christmassed up with the snowflakes, and the lovely Christmas idents of the sole CGI set of idents (that I still prefer, but they could have done more with them).

Yeah I notice this as well, it seems they playout the original ident set overnight. And when I was watching ITV1 Wales they seem to use the original regional ident with the tiny letters (it was Lake) when showing regional programmes. (Not just network progs overlayed with Wales)

Is it me or does ITV1 seem to be playing out these new idents over the original set.

But did you notice that it had the small 'Wales' text underneath the smaller ITV logo but also the larger 'Wales' text nearer the both of the screen - were both superimposed at the same time?
