It should have updated with the black logo and new music.

Thanks for pointing that one out... Rolling Eyes

The “Next” slide also failed on STV, and not for the first time in recent weeks. They are having a real problem with it at the moment. Below is an example of what has been broadcast lately.

Also, STV have worked out their new ECP (sorry if this has been mentioned before). The credits start, then extra black comes in from the bottom of the screen and the stv logo appears, which then spins and enlarges to take up the extra black and displays the info and then spins and disappears as the standard ITV Productions endcap comes up.

The old ITV1 next slide was just used, with the old music as well:

Shouldn't this be out of the system now?

Yes, I was away from the set but heard the music and was a bit confused!

Same here, though i do miss that music. Its such a nice change after hearing exactly the same music (even if each idents music is very slightly changed - they're not distinctive enough).
I still think if they'd have tinkered with the original set from 2006, as I said, have the logo built into the scene passing infront and behind things as it does now. The different music and different tone to each of the originals is mainly what I prefer, at the moment every ident sounds like a royal has died.

Anyone else notice that the ITV2 DOG no longer appears during the adverts? Is this the same for ITV3 and 4?

Is anyone else noticing issues with ITV 1 promos at the moment. They seem to have been raised from the bottom of the screen leaving a thick black band. So far i've noticed it on I'm A Celeb Get Me Out Of here promo and the drama Catwalk Dogs to name a few. Any other channel promo (such as BBC One or Channel 4) seem to be fine and graphics on programmes are no issue either. Anyone know what's going on?

I'm rather perplexed by ITV1's scheduling tonight. They only gave the rugby a 2 hours 30 minutes timeslot despite it being the final. Sporting events usually overrun at the best of times, but surely they realised the final would overrun even more with the presentation of the trophy, etc.? By the time it finished, everything's been pushed back by about 15/20 minutes now, with Parkinson only starting at 2255 instead of 2235. They're only going to get back to the schedule by 0410 because they're slicing a portion off Make Your Play. I wouldn't be surprised if they shave a bit off ITV News later, too.

To be honest Rob, it doesn't surprise me. I'm sure ITV have done enough sporting finals to know pretty much how long they need after the final whistle. The later the results, the fewer people who'll bother to watch so I guess by listing the results as 10pm, people are more likely to hang around for the end of the rugby to see them. Or maybe I'm just being really cynical tonight..? Very Happy

That'll be why they've scheduled it this week

More people are likely to watch Parkinson scheduled at 10.35 but actually starting at 10.55, than it being scheduled at 10.55 in the first place

Plus what happens if the ceremonies were done quickly and they had to finish early, which would be worse

Ah yes, good points there I hadn't considered. The later the popular programmes are listed, the less likely the viewers are to tune in.

ITV2 had to add in an extra show to make sure Xtra Factor started after the ITV1 show. Regardless of what's on the schedules, everyone expects the sports to overrun, so it's not really a problem.

It's not just ITV1, all the ITV channels seem to have this problem at the moment.
