ITV thread

I could be wrong but they didnt get a new look in September last year did they? Im sure it was much later in the year, like November time we got the current set of idents for the first time. And it was 16/1/06 that we got the last complete new look with new logos, idents etc.

ITV hasn't done the autumn presentation refresh thing for years, in fact I'm not sure they ever have since they've been ITV1, apart from that tweak for ITV50.

I dont think they have either apart from Sept 2003 when they had the 2nd set of celeb idents. The times they have had presentation changes were Oct 2002, Sept 2003, Nov 2004, Jan 2006 I think.

Well maybe buster could let us know if a refresh of presentation is due anytime soon.

New set of 4 idents from tomorrow to accompany the current set:

Bubbles
Fountains
Gardens
Buildings

Same style as the current set with bursts of yellow

What ITV1 needs to be doing is planning a Christmas ident for 2007 - they really showed themselves up last year by not having one.

STV didn't have any Christmas idents. They just added a few sparkles to the "S". That doesn't exactly make it a Christmas ident.

We didn't even get that in ITV1-land just a plain ITV1 logo..

Totally agree, even something with a plain ITV1 logo and sparkles the promo sparkles would have looked better.

What they need to do is to change the music for any new and the current, same tune, different music, just to make them stand out from each other a bit more, the right music could totally change the feel of each ident.

Something sobre-esque, and orchestral for the rowing ident, something more carnival for the market ident, and something a bit happier for the basketball, etc. Or just even totally different tunes to differentiate them, get music4 on the case.
