Some people are saying ITV missed the goal, but it came back in Granada seconds before it.

The North and Midlands regions that play out from Leeds got back to the match just a few seconds before the goal, while Wales and the Southern regions that playout from London got back in time to see the Everton players celebrating.

UTV seemed to miss only a few seconds (just got the E-on bumper and then back to the match) and STV weren't showing the match and were showing filler programmes due to News at Ten being delayed.

Well, F1 fans were used to ITV missing major incidents right, left and centre (thank grife it's on the Beeb from this year...). As a result, I have to admit to feeling a certain sense of schadenfraude over the whole affair...

Have to say i agree with you there. As an F1 fan myself i was always getting annoyed at coming back from an ad break and missed sometimes the most interesting part of the race. Still all ad free from this year as you say Very Happy

To follow up, my Dad watched the match in work last night (still in Granadaland) and he claims it didn't cut back in time to see the goal. Confused

With automated systems it's inevitable problems occur - however it shows the joke that ITV Pres is - surely someone should be checking the transmission log.

No, they shouldn't have been looking at any log... they should have been looking at the output, the automation schedule and the 'Hold' button

I think its time for ITV to sort itv1 out and relaunch it, they need to get their rep up again

In all fairness, whilst ITV has been going downhill for a few years now, I think ever since they went to the [itv]1[] look, it's become horrendous.

Personally I think ITV needs to be taken over by someone who has a clue how to run a station.

Honestly, if it wasn't for TV Burp I wouldn't even bother watching ITV1, and from what I've been told their FA Cup coverage is awful.

The channel really is a far cry from the days of ATV, Thames, Yorkshire, etc. Soem of the digital channels are better than ITV1, ITV3 for example is a better channel & yet that's full of repeats, of which a huge chunk are from the BBC's archives.

It was awful. They were so Premier League-centric, wouldn't give any credit to the 'giant-killers', just focused on the top-flight clubs.

And I thought Setanta were bad!

Very true. Filling the schedules with the likes of "I'm A Hasbeen..." is stupid, yet very ITV.

They do seem to have logos which can be made by type. IT=, anyone?
