TV ARK have just added the opening titles to Telethon '90 on their website.

Does anyone remember the ITV Telethons, what years did they run?

ITV Day of Promise is as near a Telethon we would get these days, and just look what happened to the ITV Year of Promise Fiasco!

I think the years were:

1988
1990
1992

Remember it? I was on it in 1992! Only 5 at the time - I was one of their 'cases'. (Brittle bones) Did I get any money from 'em? Did I **** ?!

The logo incorporated the 1989 ITV logo.

Clips of the programme were shown on C4 100 Greatest TV Moments from Hell last year.

What was the fiasco ---- did I miss something?!
I know it wasn't a big success anyway. It just seemed to leave us quietly after May 1 didn't it?

Apparantly it didn't catch on.
So all them 'Promise Sites/Books, Pay �10 to have your promise written here and there never happened!
