Almost 50% of YTVs region is overlap - a small portion of Norfolk (Kings Lynn - Anglia) and all above the Humber Estuary (Tyne Tees). A transmitter swap is in order I think. I live in Hull, and funny enough, I can't get Tyne Tees
or
Channel 5 - but my Dad can get both at a different address!
I live in Leeds and get can good pictures from Belmont, Bilsdale, Emley Moor and Winter Hill.
Most people out of the centre of Leeds can get Tyne Tees, I know people who can get TT in Huddersfield too!
If I had to chose between YTV/TT it would have to be TT, they're local programmes are much better.

Wierd really. YTV is based in Leeds, and has an office in Hull (in a shopping centre! LOL) but both cities can get Tyne Tees! Does TTTV have it's new generic ident yet?
I reckon it will be weird for a lot of people who are used to watching a particular region (as they are in a overlap), and then suddenly they're getting a different one.
It will be possible from what I've heard, to contact Sky and with reasonable persuasion, to get them to change to your region. Of course, that is open to abuse (no, that's such as strong word - 'usage') by people who prefer Carlton's presentation to Meridians!
And to answer David's ques., ITV2 is a national service. They are looking at ITV2's remit and whether it's worth putting it up on satellite but I guess getting the regions on DSat is their priority.

Tyne Tees STILL haven't put their new logo on the generic ident!

I have heard that Granada have been advised to get rid of OnDigital, and as you know, Granada are like one third of ITV, so it's not looking good for On, or ITV Digital.
You've mis-understood the news story, only 4 out of Granada's 20 main shareholders say they wouldn't want it to be in ITV Digital. Firstly, considering the report measured the top 20, not the top 10 or top 5 share holders, it is reasonable to assume that only the smaller shareholders are bothered by this change. Secondly, we don't know what the question asked was. It might have been, 'Do you think it is good for ONdigital to become ITV Digital ?' or it might have been, 'Do you think a rebrand is un-needed ?' etc....
Of course you could just reset the box about 50 times and get the box confused which will allow you to view other regions, it works with BBC One.
So could I do that?
I get BBC One Scotland, could I get other regions just by reseting the box a few times?
What are the chances of it working?
Has it caused you any problems doing that?
lets put it this way. BSkyB will not be happy when you tell them why your digibox hardrive cannot function properly. if you confuse it too much you can cause permanrent damage. treat it like you would a computer. if you dont know, dont do it.
No it hasn't caused any problems, but I did it by accident because my digibox wasn't working and I reset it a couple of times.
I turned it back on and it had reset so that BBC Choice was Scotland and BBC One was Scotland too.
I presume it caused some sort of confusion in the box, but no idea really.
I reset it again and it was back to normal.
I wouldn't suggest doing it, as David said it can damage the box and I only did it by mistake.
I know people who have done it on purpose and it has only worked very occasionally so I wouldn't suggest trying it.
Actually, I think it our legal right to be allowed to view the various BBC regions if they are technically available to us, I will check up on that one.

OK, thanks, was just what the story said though. On a legal point, if one person said 'I think you should do that' then that should count as being advised.
Just wanted to mention that in case someone wants to sue my ass.....
