ITV to shut down for an hour on August 27th

Could we see the return of the ITV Telethon?! Unlikely... but you never know!

I always thought it was rather ill thought to do a fundraiser the week after Christmas, they'd be much better going for a fundraiser sometime between April and September when people are generally less skint.

I'm surprised about that, I thought they'd finally got on a roll when they piggy backed on the Christmas Jumper day theme in recent years which eventually could have been fully associated with ITV than it just being something that existed before.

This goes down terribly as well. The only people enthusiastic about it is Nickelodeon and it usually results in people just turning over to Cartoon Network.
