which itv service should return?

it's very close between atv and central for me.
central just edges it.
the cake logo gets it for me but the atv 'eyes' were good too.

My vote's gone with TSW. Friendliest ITV channel ever, despite not making many contributions to the network. They wouldn't even use the 1989 Generic look.

If only there was one company like this was spared ITV (1) wouldn't have been the sham it was today. Okay, the Broadcasting Act 1990 didn't help either but still....

i'm disappointed with the 'carltonization' of ITV1

I can't see how anyone could say that they 'hate the Carlton idents' - they are unique and very well produced.

I think the Carlton idents are great, in fact I'd go as far as say they are my 2nd favourite idents on the ITV network (you lot all know what my favourite is )

I did like the cake idents in the pre-Carlton era, and I hated the era when Central had carltonised idents with 'chimney' etc, I thought they were awful!!

central with the carlton style logo was awful!
the carlton logos aren't that bad but i think every region should have it's on identity. therefore i would like to see the central logo rightfully restored.

Well ATV is Central which is (less straight forwardly) Carlton! But i'd love the Central name to return but Carltons current idents are the best on the network (closely followed by the videowall), and are some of the best on TV at the moment.

atv did become central then carlton
i'm treating them separately.
atv had that great zoom and logo
central had the cake
carlton had..... well... er.... carlton

i've seen the videowall on lwt via a website.
i think well done lwt. a nice change from the hearts or carlton.
