Seems Pougatch made his way over for the main event at least - guess someone else hosted the undercard. He's proving to have been a smart and versatile signing for ITV.

I didn't see the coverage from the start but after the Kid Galahad v Joseph Agbeko when I saw a bit of it, Pougatch was presenting.

Sky are refunding people who bought the fight through their Sky box...

Well, that's not a good start! Losing all the income from Sky means ITV won't be seeing much income from this.

There was never any income from Sky, the only valid way to order the fight was via the website. Also Sky aren't issuing refunds, there was never a valid purchase order between the customer and Sky for the fight.

I understand the issue was caused because the Sky system allowed customers to "purchase" the fight. So although it looked as if you had ordered the fight via the Sky box, you had not. The fight had to be purchased via the ITV site. Sky it would seem are partly responsible for the confusion.

It may be a combination of issues, as on the ITV site, you had to enter your Sky viewing card number. I suspect some entered this wrong.

I must say it does seem a bit analogue having to pass over your viewing card number for a single order.......

Gabriel Clarke presented the start of proceedings before resuming his more regular reporter/interviewer role.

I wonder if that might be libellous, actually.

What does this mean?

ITV have released a statement.

Quote:
A spokesperson said: "What some Sky viewers experienced last night was a delay in the feed being established immediately after they had subscribed to watch the Box Office coverage.

"This was an issue outside of our control and was resolved a few minutes after customers had completed the transaction. This issue did not arise with those watching on Virgin or on ITV Box Office. "

It appears that those who had purchased the fight directly from ITV were unaffected, while those who had done so through Sky were presented with the dreaded blue screen.

Sky's sustomer services team were helping fans on Twitter, but the official ITV Box Office account remained silent on the matter.

Well, this isn't good. Brekkie has edited his comment since I replied to it, which I don't think is really in the spirit of this or any forum.

Is this some sort of riddle? (a poor one)
