ITV Revamp

It was reported months ago, so when do we reckon we're going to start seeing it onscreen, or any further news?

I'd like especially to see universal branding, ditch the generic credits backgrounds and let the programme makers create them (with guidelines to allow room for ECPs) and some form of ITV News refresh as well.

Any news/suggestions?

Also, try and create some programmes for men, as most ITV programmes are headed towards women.

The new look itv will be unveiled and launched october time.

Well let's see around August/September, usually we'll have an idea of what the new logo will look like with an announcement on the types of programmes it will be showing, one can only hope they start to bring more depth into their programming, but you don't really see it happening.

ITV only had a mini-revamp a few months ago. They must be splashing out on new idents and presentation what with all the advert money they've made from the Crazy Frog

It's being launched on the date of the 50th anniversary, is it not?

But surely that would ruin the ITV 50 logo that's been created, even though that was made to fit in with the old style logo.

I actually wouldn't mind if they could sort out the ITV brand, to make everything fit in with the split squares look, even if they ditched the blue and yellow and created a colour scheme for each channel.

Basically nobody knows what, when or anything bar a brief article that said there will be some sort of revision. Everything else is speculation. It could be more than 6 months away before it happens!

but why the change? there is no need. after all its been less than 6 months since the launch of the current look!

Because there's a new head of marketing that wants to make her mark.

Supposidly ditching the logo (at least that's the impression I got) so it's more than the usual change. What you have to bear in mind is that ITV has relaunched every Novemeber time for the past few years.
