Oh dear, still not good for ITV1. BBC One are offering 2 quality dramas, good "competition" in SCD, ITV offer a 10 year old game show and a load of old tat! Sad

EDIT: And Parky, or did I already cover him? - lol Very Happy

I'd hardly call Robin Hood or Casualty 'quality'. Especially the latter, which has been steadily decreasing in 'quality' for years.

I was reading in this week's broadcast about the strong rumour of the Generation Game coming back! Hmm Cilla's Generation Game!

Yep - the Gen Game with a popular host or hostess would be a smart move. It is still a great format - and nearly came back with Lily Savage hosting it, though that didn't work out, and Lily now seems to have retired in favour of Paul.

If Ant and Dec can recycle bits of House Party and The Late Late Breakfast show as Saturday Night Takeaway, then why not bring back something else? (Ant and Dec do a great job - don't get me wrong)

I like the current set-up with regard to BBC One. Quality dramas, and no Casualty has no gone 'down hill' and compared with ITV it's frankly laughable. Crap game shows and a coffin dodger, best thing BBC One did getting rid of him!

I think it has. Not a patch on what it was years ago.

Casualty is very tired.

Don't EVER diss Brucie! He may be getting on in years, but he's a showbiz legend, NOT a coffin dodger.

Quite disrespectful IMO, he not "Coffin dodger" he's a respected legend in the British Television scene.

Hmm, don't legends have to die before they become legends? Otherwise they become 'living legends' and that's just plain embarrassing, especially when said 'living legend' is reading the autocue standing next to Tess Daly.

I'm not sure how that works. Confused But my point is he isn't just another "new" celebrity that became a celeb by going on a Reality show he's been in this business over 30 years.
