I think ITV1 and ITV2 may launch new idents tomorrow. The current ITV1 Saturday night line up trailer says that everything is new! (New stars, new show, new money, new kylie - Popstars In Their Eyes, Pop Idol, Millionaire, Audience with Kylie Minogue) Also iTV1's ITV2 trailers have a new logo on.

Well, maybe, but I would have thought that they would either do it on a Monday or a Friday night like they usually do. Saying that though, they did launch ITV1 on a Saturday...
Well I hope they do anyway, it is surely Autumn now isn't it? Are we sure abot the new idents for Autumn, or is someone just mocking us?

Today I read in this week's
Broadcast
magazine more about ITV1 becoming available on Sky Digital.
Apparently the greatest likelyhood as to how it will end up being is as follows:
Carlton London/LWT on 103 no matter where you are in the UK, and all other regions elsewhere (probably in the 900s) - ITV1 will run an extensive advertising campaign to make it widely known which regions are on which Sky EPG numbers.
If this is all true, then everyone will indeed be able to see every region (as many of us have been hoping) - whoopeee!!!

Ahh, fantastic - good old ITV rumour mongering Let's hope it's good news. That itv.com isn't bad at all.
I read the Broadcast article this afternoon and think providing that they do give the other regions an extensive advertising campaign, other channels won't have too much to complain about.
But yes, Carlton's viewing figures are certainly going to be up.
'Oh look Coronation Street is on ch.103 at 7.30pm or channels 801-815. Which channel shall I watch it on?? Hmm!'

Well I suppose neither carlton or Granada can really complain at that as they both have the stake in them, granada with LWT @ the weekends and Carlton with Carlton london in the weekdays, so I suppose the situation suites them both to an extent!

Don't know how to use the quote or whatever, someone said that they thought the new idents would be launched on a Monday or Friday - its useful to note that the BBC launched their current idents on a Saturday (4/10) I believe!

I've only just woke up (about 10:45am). Am I to take it nothing seems to have happened yet re: new look for ITV1?
I presume that even if there is a change today, we won't see it until pre-CD:UK break bumper, as a result of how the Saturday schedule works (like when ITV became ITV1).
I actually think it's more likely that if there is new idents today, they won't be used until this EVENING (to coincide with new schedule).
Does anyone seriously expect any relaunch today? I know that I haven't really got very high hopes...
