ITV regional names in your tv listings

And quite simply, "Central" looks neater alongside "BBC1, BBC2 and Channel4", would be silly to have the long "ITV1 Calton for Central England" title at the top of the column and in most cases it probably wouldn't fit.

Is it any wonder they are confused as to what to call each region.

Look at Central for example, you could call it Central, Carlton, Carlton-Central, ITV1 Central, ITV1 Carlton for Central England, ITV1 Central England, ITV1 Midlands.

Here I'm in a tri-region, I get Anglia, Meridian and Carlton London.

On London at 3.20 pm it says Citv, sometimes London or Carlton Television

The Plymouth Evening Herald sometimes uses Carlton, and sometimes ITV1. Infact today, they have used Carlton for today's listings, and ITV1 for tomorrows, with them both appearing on the same double page.
