I agree, the new ones are awful

I think ITV2 & ITV3 ended up with the best package.
ITV1's are really bad, I much prefer the last set, at least you knew which station you were watching. You can't hardly see that ITV1 logo.

The info we got was a bit vague...just they hadn't been received as well as the rest of the rebrand and will be replaced by something else before the end of the year. So I'd expect the whole lot to go. However 2,3 and 4 will stay, apparently they will lats for longer "as fewer people see them"

Thanks for that buster.
Any idea what the new stuff is later this year? Is it just some additions or a completely new set of idents?

Yes and closed down Broad Street Studios, took away the Central Cake forever, ruined ITV from 1993 onwards, yes CARLTON should be forgiven, not!,
Don't think for a second that the first 2 wouldn't have happened eventually anyway, no matter what company bought Central. ITV would probably have been in a similar state if Carlton had exsisted or not

Maybe ITV should do some research into exactly who the 'typical ITV viewer' is, and brand accordingly.... but then again maybe that would be too much to expect.
If that was the case then they'd just film the first piece of doggy doo-dah they come across on the pavement and use it as an ident.
Quite fitting..... crap network, crap shows, crap viewing figures and a crap ident to match.

Nice to hear,"you're watching ITV1 Central"!
ITV should start some regional channels on digital. Like for Central, a channel called ITV Central, they could then do extra bulletins and replay and new regional programmes, abit like Channel M.
Sort of Meridian's ITV Local, but on TV.
So ITV Central could have their own channel, and same with other regions etc.

Notice tonight's 11pm programme is sponsored and the voiceover says "XYZ company ... sponsors ITV regional programming"
First time they've ever really flagged up that it's a regional programme in such a clear way
The Dales Diary on YTTTV is also sponsored so it's good that at least some money is changing hands around regional programmes
